5-Step Online Application Process

Visit the RGD Portal: Go to the Registrar General’s Department official e-services portal (rgd.gov.lk or e-services.rgd.gov.lk).

Account Login: Log in using your NIC number and mobile number verification.

Select Service: Choose “Apply for Certified Copy of Birth Certificate” from the dashboard menu.

Enter Details: Fill in the birth details, district, division, and registration numbers accurately. Select the number of copies required.

Make Payment & Confirm: Pay the service fee using your credit/debit card. Save the reference/tracking number sent to your mobile via SMS.
